NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPED

Planar Monolithics Industries, Inc., has developed the PMI Model No: TD-30T-0518-MH Threshold Detector that operates from 500 MHz to 18 GHz (400 MHz to 18 GHz also available).  The VSWR on this device is 2.0:1 Typical, the Dynamic Range is -18 dBm to +5 dBm that can be adjusted with external resistors.  The Frequency Response Flatness is 1.0 dB and the Response Time is 50nS Typical.  The extremely small size is only 0.80 X 0.62 X 0.40 and the unit also boasts removable GPO connectors at the input, there are solder pins for the video output and the power supply of +12vdc @ 100mA Maximum.  Click the thumbnail picture to see a larger picture.

Planar Monolithics Industries, Inc. (PMI), was founded on November 11th, 1989 by Dr. Ashok (Ash) K. Gorwara, to take advantage of the growing demand in monolithic based products using Hybrid MIC/MMIC technology. PMI offers its unique DC to 40 GHz products for applications in space, military, communications, telecommunications and consumer electronics.

PMI's staff of experienced project engineers and program managers are integrating the latest DC to 40 GHz Hybrid Microwave Monolithic Integrated Circuits (HMMIC) into receiver front-end components such as Successive Detection Logarithmic Amplifiers (SDLVA), Log RF/IF Log Amplifiers, Threshold Detectors, Phase Shifters, Limiters, Diode Detectors/Limiter Detectors, Directional Detectors, Bi-Phase Modulators, I&Q Vector Modulators/Detectors, Directional Detectors, Power Dividers (Inphase & Quadrature), Linear Amplifier Detectors, High Speed Video Buffer Amplifiers, High Speed TTL/ECL Converters, High Speed ECL/TTL Converters, High Dynamic Range Receiver Front Ends/IFM and Channelized Subsystems, Frequency/Polar Discriminators, High Power Amplifiers, Monopulse Comparators, Image Reject & Balanced Mixers, Frequency Synthesizers and Frequency Discriminators,  to produce units with higher reliability, more uniform performance and lower cost.

Today, PMI's management and owners Ashok K. Gorwara and Raymond L. Sicotte are directing the company into the 21st Century by expanding the applications of RF/Microwave Components and Subsystems into new, low cost, RF/Microwave receiving and transmitting systems for both civilian and military customers.
